Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan read the separate charges to them. It is alleged that Solomon and Craig, hosted separate parties over the weekend in the vicinity of George-town, thereby breaching the National COVID-19 Emergency Measures. While McFarlene, Fletcher and Jennis, attended parties over the weekend, which were also in the vicinity of Georgetown.
The hosts pleaded guilty and were ordered to serve 40 hours of community service or in default serve three weeks imprisonment. The service must be done by March 17, the Chief Magistrate said. However, the three accused of attending parties denied the charge and were granted bail at a sum of $5,000 each. They were advised to make their next court appearance on March 22.
