Enmore man jailed for breaking into C’Ville home

An Enmore man was on Wednesday sentenced to 18 months in jail after he pleaded guilty to breaking into a woman’s home and stealing valuables amounting to almost $300,000.

Twenty six-year-old Charles Rodney, of Enmore Estate, East Coast Demerara, appeared virtually at the Georgetown Magistrates Court and admitted to a break and enter and larceny charge.

It was alleged that on January 15th, at Lot 237 Pike Street, Campbellville, he broke into and entered the dwelling house of Sharon Kissoon and stole two televisions, a laptop, a Fire TV Stick streaming device, and a cooking-gas bottle, all amounting to $284,000.
