Region Ten took a bold step forward on Wednesday by moving to implement the golf programme in all seven of its secondary schools.
The schools are McKenzie High, Linden Foundation Secondary, New Silvercity Secondary, Christianburg Wismar Secondary, Wisburg Secondary, Kwakwani Secondary, and Harmony Secondary.
With golf proving itself to be the fastest growing sport in the country under the strong guidance of the Guyana Golf Association (GGA), the bold decision by Regional Education District Officer (REDO), Nigel Richards, will see over 600 students having immediate access to the sport and an additional 1,400 when school resumes normal operations.
