What is most important in your lifestyle and weight loss transformation?
To begin with I will tell you what’s the least important: your weight. Also unimportant are the scale, body fat percentage, leaving out certain food sources, supplements, being 100% strict on your diet and food intake.
What’s more important is whether your clothes fit better. Your well-being, strength, rest and recovery, energy levels, mood and building a relaxed and balanced relationship with food and dieting are also important.
Most people base their progress entirely on the scale, which is probably the most unreliable source, because your weight will fluctuate from day to day for a number of reasons just like how the weather can change daily.
The ultimate setup you can have in your lifestyle, muscle gain, or weight loss transformation, is to have the least amount of restrictions as that is going to give you the most possible progress.
Following protocols that are sustainable, reliable and practical in the long run is the key to unlocking a physique that can be maintained.
Here is a secret tip. You know what I’ve done all the years during my fitness journey? In moderation, I have eaten ice cream, pizzas, cakes, pasta, cheese, rice, mayonnaise, burgers and fries, milkshakes, bread with butter, gummy worms (lately since I’ve been binge watching documentaries on Netflix) and the list goes on.
The lesson here is if the workout programme and diet you are following now, are consistently making you feel worse, tired, or devoid of energy, you are doing it wrong, and it is guaranteed that it is too restrictive.
There is no need to pick any of the fad diets that fanatics claim to be the best. To be on your way to earning a sustainable physique moderation is vital. As long as you can control your calories, you can eat what you like. Ensure that you lift weights and exercise more and be consistent and you can have cheat meals here and there. You can thank me later.
