A hundred children living in Berbice were recently presented with tablets and backpacks with back-to-school supplies by the Service to Humanity non-governmental organisation.
The items were distributed at the Skeldon Estate Compound.
The Founder of the NGO, Shanta Youngham, told this newspaper that those who did not receive tablets, received school supplies. Prior to the distribution exercise, Youngham spent a great deal of time checking to see which children hadn’t any devices for their virtual learning but had access to electricity and internet before they were provided with the tablets.
