A mechanic was charged yesterday with unlawful possession of a firearm and matching ammunition.
Roy Millington, 29, of Lot 45 Hadfield Street, Lodge, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in Georgetown, where the charges were read to him.
It is alleged that 13 March, 2021, while in the vicinity of Ruimveldt Public Road, Georgetown, Millington had a .38 Special revolver and three live .38 rounds without being a lawful firearm licence holder.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was asked to post a total of $200,000 bail for his release. The proceedings were adjourned until March 26th, 2021.
