The Lusignan Prison this morning at 7.10 experienced an escape from custody.
Taje Singh, 45, of Lot 81 Zeelugt North, West Coast Demerara, who was serving a sentence for unlawful wounding and larceny of a water pump, jumped the southern prison fence and made good his escape into a clump of bushes.
Prison and police ranks are presently searching for him. It is the latest in a series of escapes from the facility.
