Two more men die of COVID, 120 new cases recorded

Two more COVID-19 fatalities along with 120 more cases of the virus were yesterday recorded.

The Ministry of Health made this announcement through a press release where it stated that as of March 17th, two more persons who tested positive for the virus succumbed. The two persons were identified as 66-year-old men from Region Four. They both died while receiving care at a medical facility.

Meanwhile, 120 new cases of the virus were recorded which increased the total number of positive confirmed cases in the country to 9,442. The cases came after some 1,107 more persons were tested thus increasing the total number of persons tested in the country to 79,415.

Of the new cases recorded, 77 were from Region Four. As a result there are now 793 active cases in the country, 46 of which are in institutional isolation while another 747 are in home isolation. There are seven patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.
