Dear Editor,
It was reported in a recent news item on national television (NCN, March 18), the opposition councilors of Region Five RDC, realized it is fruitless and not in their best interest to not work and cooperate with the government side of the Council. They have now publicly stated they will work for the benefit and interest of and for the people of the Region. As it should be.
Could this be interpreted as a move of giving recognition to the government, something the higher echelons of that side of the political divide, have refused to do? Could the willingness to work for the benefit of the people be replicated in the highest forum of our country – Parliament?
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
