Two men who were on Monday charged with robbing a truck driver of his cellphone and other items have been remanded.
When they appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Courts, Alvin Archer, 27, and Jermaine Grenville, 23, of Lot 344 Section ‘B’ Pattensen, Turkeyen, were charged with robbing the driver.
The charge states that on March 18, at Dowding Street, Kitty, Georgetown, while being armed with a knife, they stole a Samsung J2 Prime cellphone valued $30,000, a memory card valued $2,000, and a Digicel SIM card valued $2,000, the items totalling $34,000, from Terence Bouyeau, property of Terence Bouyeau.
