The Regional Health Services in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Programme and the Regional Administration of Region Six yesterday commissioned a Chest Clinic in the compound of the Port Mourant Hospital.
Regional Executive Officer, Narindra Persaud noted that rehabilitation works were carried out on the building to the tune of $4.8 million in order to facilitate the Chest Clinic.
According to the health officials present, yesterday’s commissioning was the third for the region thus making the service more accessible to residents. The other two locations are Skeldon and New Amsterdam.
