The Ministry of Health today said that four more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This pushes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 225.
The latest fatalities are two males: a 60-year-old from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) and a 61-year-old from Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) and two females from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica): a 63-year-old and a 78-year-old.
In recent days there has been a sharp rise in COVID deaths.
