The police are currently searching for a Region One man who is accused of raping a child who is also a family member.
The man, who is also accused of similar offences by others, subsequently fled the area after the authorities were alerted.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) in a brief statement yesterday reported that the attack occurred between February 28, 2021 and March 1, 2021.
The Childcare and Protection Agency was notified and subsequently made a report to the police on March 24, 2021.
