A sixteen-year-old is now hospitalised after he was stabbed five times during a robbery at Annandale, East Coast Demerara.
According to a Guyana Police Force report, the teen, who is a secondary-level student, was attacked and robbed by five perpetrators during the afternoon hours on Thursday.
The report said the teen, who initially resisted the robbery, was dealt five stabs and subsequently relieved of a laptop, a cellular phone, a music box and a haversack.
The wounded teen was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he was admitted.
