Cyclists will be back in action tomorrow for just the second time this quiet season, battling for spoils on the open roads.

The COVID-19 Task Force recently gave the green light to the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) to stage an event within the confines of the guidelines of the pandemic.

Tomorrow’ 50-mile race will be staged from Carifest Avenue. The peloton will proceed to Mahaica before returning to the point of origin for the finish.

The start time of this event will commence at 07:00hrs and the GCF is imploring all competitors to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines.

Registration for the fixture will begin an hour prior to the start of the race at the starting line and each rider should wear their mask and will have their temperature checked upon registration.

In the first race staged for the year on February 21, Marcus Keiler sprinted away with the spoils of the 35-mile Forbes Burnham Memorial road race.

He will be looking to continue his success on the saddle while the other riders will be racing for their first win.
