Director of Communications of the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, Imran Khan yesterday confirmed that a vehicle belonging to Leader of the Opposition Joseph Harmon was involved in a vehicular accident on the East Coast of Demerara on Saturday evening.
In a release, Harmon said that Khan was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident and expressed his thanks to the many persons who have called and messaged to enquire into his wellbeing.
“We are relieved that no one was seriously injured in the accident”, the release said.
The release added that the Guyana Police Force is conducting an investigation and Harmon is committed to “assisting such investigation in any way necessary and will be guided by the outcome of the investigation”.
