Dear Editor,
Another mother has died after giving birth. This time, it is alleged, COVID is the snatcher of life.
In this twenty-first century Guyana, for women to die, either while giving birth or post-birth, is not only scandalous, but an indictment on the national maternal health care system, and a pregnant woman’s worst nightmare.
My condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased.
