Rain forced the second New York Tri-State Under-15 match to be abandoned after Georgetown Cricket Club’s (GCC) Rivaldo Phillips chalked up a comfortable century yesterday at Muslim Youth Organisation ground, Woolford Avenue.
With early morning showers forcing the match to start two hours late, a rain interruption halfway through the first innings caused a revision in the overs from 40 to 30.
GCC won the toss and elected to bat first, reaching 108 for six after 19.5 overs when the rain intervened and an early lunch was taken as some 25 minutes were lost.
