Berbice men chopped in separate incidents

Two Berbice men are now hospitalised after they were chopped about their bodies in separate incidents during the Easter holiday.

On Sunday, Vishnu Dalchan, 53, a labourer of Follow Up, Albion Backlands, was allegedly attacked by his workmate, who was identified by the alias ‘Gangster.’ Another workmate, Rudolph Ramdeen, also known as ‘Rudy’, 52, of New Forest, East Canje, Berbice, told investigators that on Monday he was informed that ‘Gangster’ had injured Dalchan after a misunderstanding.

Ramdeen along with others then went to the area where Dalchan was discovered in an unconscious state. He was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital and has since been transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
