A cosmetologist was yesterday charged with using abusive language towards one of her clients while a woman was charged with assaulting her neighbour.
Tiffany Arthur, 32, a cosmetologist of Lot 556 Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, and 51-year-old Dawn Taylor, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday when they denied use of abusive language and assault charges.
The charges were read to them by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan. It is alleged that on January 29, at Regent Street, Georgetown, Arthur used abusive language toward Tiffany Young, a client at the salon where Arthur is employed.
Following her not-guilty plea, she was placed on $5,000 bail. The matter was adjourned until April 16.
Meanwhile, it is alleged that on March 28, at East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, Taylor unlawfully assaulted her neighbour. She was placed on self-bail and the matter was adjourned until May 13.
