A noise nuisance report has landed a soldier in police custody.
According to the Guyana Police Force, the Guyana Defence Force rank, who is also the owner of a wash bay at Bagotville, West Bank Demerara, was arrested at about 5.50 pm on Thursday following a complaint about noise coming from the wash bay.
The police said that the ranks received a call from an unknown caller and responded to the report. They then went to the wash bay and arrested the owner. The music system at the wash bay was also seized and lodged as an exhibit, the police added.
