A man was placed on $250,000 bail on Friday after denying that he illegally had a firearm in his possession.
Kayode Goodman, 45, of Section ‘C’ Enterprise, East Coast Demerara, appeared via Zoom at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, when Magistrate Dylon Bess read the charge to him.
He denied the charge, which states that on April 9, at Port Kaituma, Region One, while not being a licensed firearm holder, he had a firearm in his possession.
Goodman was then placed on $250,000 bail with the condition that he reports to the Port Kaituma Police station on the first Friday of every month until the conclusion of the matter.
The matter was then adjourned until May 4.
