Trevis Simon was unanimously elected president of the Central Essequibo Cricket Committee when the body held its Annual General Meeting and elections Tuesday evening at the Imam Bacchus Ground, Affiance.
The newly elected president told Stabroek Sport, “Well I just want to say that we will continue the work that we are doing at the central cricket committee level and we intend to extend that to the Essequibo board and also would definitely intend to work with anyone who is willing to see the cricket developed and moved forward in central and at the ECB [Essequibo Cricket Board] level and subsequently at the GCB [Guyana Cricket Board] also.”
Simon congratulated the new executives and expressed his enthusiasm for working with them and achieving a fruitful tenure with high expectations that can revive cricket in the Cinderella County of Essequibo.
