A pensioner, who visited the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) Camp and Bent to query matters related to his contribution, collapsed on Wednesday and died.
NIS, in a press release, identified the deceased as Harold Shaffie.
The release stated that Shaffie visited the NIS office around 8 am and collapsed about ten minutes later, after which he became unresponsive.
The paramedics were immediately called but efforts made to resuscitate him proved futile.
His body was taken to the mortuary, where an autopsy is scheduled to be conducted to determine the cause of his death.
The NIS offered its condolences to the family of the deceased.
