Legendary former West Indies captain Sir Clive Lloyd, has officially congratulated recently elected Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) President Bissoondyal Singh on his ascension to the top post.
This was disclosed by in official statement for the 1975 and 1979 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup winning skipper. According to Lloyd, “Congrats to president Bissoondyal [Singh] and the members of his team on winning the elections for the Guyana Cricket Board. I wish the board a very successful future. This victory must give rise to a sense of renewal. I do know most of the members of the elected board and I am sure they understand that the improved management of cricket in Guyana is a national expectation. Moreover, the opportunity presents itself for the new board to create the conditions for Guyana to become, as it once was, one of the main nurseries for West Indies cricket.”
