Joint Services in tactical exercise at prisons

Members of the Joint Services have concluded a Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWT) at prison locations countrywide, according to the Guyana Defence Force. The TEWT was designed to test the contingency plans of all prison facilities and concluded on Friday at the Mazaruni and Timehri Prisons. The Mazaruni location was visited by a team comprising National Security Advisor, Gerry Gouveia, GDF Chief-of-Staff Brigadier Godfrey Bess, Commissioner of Police (ag)Nigel Hoppie, Prisons Director (ag) Nicklon Elliot, Fire Officer Haimchandra Persaud as well as other Senior Officers and Regional Police Commanders.
