Thirty-eight new COVID-19 cases were yesterday recorded after some 233 more persons were tested.
This was revealed in the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard which showed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 11,901 while the total number of persons tested to date now stands at 108,207.
There are now 1,371 active cases in the country, 77 of whom are in institutional isolation while another 1,294 are in home isolation. The new cases were reported in six of the country’s Administrative Regions with Region Six recording the highest number of cases at 14. Region One recorded two new cases along with Region Ten, while ten cases were recorded in Region Three, Seven in Region Four and three in Region Five.
Some 13 persons remain patients at the country’s COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit even as a total of 10,246 persons have recovered to date.
