Bids were recently submitted to the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board for infrastructure works in a number of areas including Great Diamond on the East Bank of Demerara and Cummings Lodge, Vigilance and Bladen Hall on the East Coast of Demerara. The projects which were tendered in four lots were all estimated to cost over $150 million each.
Bids were also submitted for the reconstruction or construction of a number of police stations under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
