Dear Editor,
There is the rapidity with which COVID-19 infections occur, and talk about the rate of vaccinations conducted; but when the deaths occur the authorities involved do not report any interest in facilitating the bereaved families so far as how and where the deceased are buried. So that one is uncertain not only of the survival of families who could not ‘distance’ themselves; but also how crowded could be the central cemetery – Le Repentir – in Region 4, under-maintained as it is.
Too many families have too little choice, while the caretakers – the Mayor and City Council – hardly care, as if their families could not be affected.
Should not these caretakers and the preceding health protectors discuss urgently the feasibility of clearing this cursed sight (site) in the Capital City – to be financed by a minimal deductible fee from all the recently awarded contractors for projects aimed at improving the lot of hesitant survivors?
Yours faithfully,
