A Crabwood Creek, Berbice, truck driver died on Wednesday after he was pinned to his truck’s steering wheel by a log he was transporting.
Dead is Andrew Jagmohan, 34. Ivor Martin, 33, a porter of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, was also travelling with Jagmohan.
The police said that Jagmohan was driving motor lorry GFF 7662 uphill at Wiki Creek Landing backdam, Berbice, when he encountered some mechanical problems. As a result the lorry began to roll backward downhill and one of the logs being transported hit a tree.

According to the police, Martin assisted in transporting Jagmohan to the Kwakwani Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is currently at Kwakwani Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
