Dear Editor,
There has been a halt in the issuing of leases by the Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission (GLSC) according to officers working there. On numerous occasions I was told that there is no Board to approve the leases to be signed. It was observed that the lease for a remigrant of Linden was fast tracked by the President, according to Stabroek News, January 18th, 2021. I would like to know how soon the Board will meet to start processing the leases that are sitting in GLSC. This is becoming frustrating and it’s almost 6 years that our lease is in process, when all the other processes were completed and now it’s only the lease to be signed and issued.
