COVID death toll today at four

The Ministry of Health today said four more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 281.

The latest fatalities are two women, a 60-year-old from Region 6 (East Berbice- Corentyne) and a 65-year- old from Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) and two men: a 72-year-old and a 42-year-old, both from Region Four.

They all died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.

The latest fatalities make April the deadliest month of the pandemic.
