A security guard who is accused of break and enter and larceny was granted bail yesterday after denying the charge.
Romel Samuels, 35, of Victoria Road, Sparendaam, appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in Georgetown, where it was alleged that between the period of March 30 and April 20, at Fifth Street, Alberttown, Samuels entered the dwelling place of Denzil McDonald and stole 17 pennyweights of raw gold valued at $189,000, $20,000 cash, a $5,000 fan, a $17,500 cordless drill, nine black stones valued at $35,000 and two Kaiak colognes valued at $16,000,
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was subsequently granted bail in the sum of $75,000.
He is expected to make his next court appearance on May 10, 2021 when the matter will be called again.
