A female motorcyclist is now hospitalized at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital in a serious condition, after she was struck by an alleged speeding hire car driver on Monday afternoon.
Injured is Abaqal Jonas, 46, of Courtland Village, Corentyne, while the driver, George Papannah, 41, of 6th Street, Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, is expected to be placed before a court today.
According to information gathered, Papannah was proceeding in hire car, #HC 7057 allegedly at a fast rate of speed when he lost control and collided with Jonas’s motor cycle at Borlam Turn, yesterday.
