The Ministry of Health yesterday said that two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 308.
The latest fatalities are a 58-year-old female and a 65-year-old male both from Region 3 (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara). They died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.
Meanwhile, the ministry reported a whopping 173 new cases of the virus. Sixteen persons are in the ICU.
