The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday announced that four women who were infected with COVID-19 have died.
In a statement, the Ministry revealed that two of the women, a 52-year-old and a 65-year-old, were from Region Four, while the third, a 69-year-old and the fourth, a 29-year-old, were residents of Region Three and Seven, respectively. They all died while receiving care at a medical facility.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll increased to 314 with the confirmation of the latest deaths.
Meanwhile, according to the COVID-19 dashboard, 116 new cases were confirmed from 1,118 tests that were conducted.
Of those cases, 38 are from Region Four, 20 from Region Six, 11 from Region Five, 10 from Region Seven, 9 each from Region Nine and Ten, 7 from Region Three, 5 from Region Two, 4 from Region Eight and 3 from Region One.
The total number of cases in the country has now increased to 14,073.
It was stated that 14 persons are in the Intensive Care Unit, 101 in institutional isolation, 1716 in home isolation and 10 persons in institutional quarantine. Some 11,928 persons have recovered from the virus.
