A Kaneville, Grove fisherman died in a hit and run accident which occurred on Saturday night along the Better Hope Public Road.
The deceased has been identified as fifty-year-old Navindra Ramnarine of Third Field, Kaneville.
According to a police report, enquiries revealed that about 7 pm on Saturday, Ramnarine was crossing the road from north to south when a pickup, GPP 8699 which was proceeding west on the southern side of the road collided with the man.
The pedestrian suffered injuries about his body and is said to have died on the scene.
Following the accident, the pickup involved sped off.
Police investigations are continuing.
