A bartender was on Monday placed on $5,000 bail after denying a damage-to-property charge.
Twenty-three-year-old Hackeem Ali, of Lot B Bent Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus granted him bail after he was charged with damaging a door and a rail.
He denied the charge which alleges that on December 17, 2020 at Princes Street, Georgetown, he maliciously damaged a door valued $27,000 and a rail, valued $2,720, property of Riana Ali.
The man, who told the court that he is a bartender employed at the Sleepin, was released on $5,000 bail and the matter was adjourned until May 31.
