(Trinidad Guardian) The latest update from the Ministry of Health is confirming that 9 more people have been lost to COVID-19, bringing the national death toll to 265—an increase from the 256 reported on Thursday 13 May 2021.
In addition, some 565 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been recorded, moving the total number of active cases in the country past the five thousand mark to 5,214 patients. These new cases reflect results of samples taken between May 10th and 13th, this week.
Also in its update for today, Friday 14 May 2021, the Ministry is reporting that 365 patients currently are hospitalised and being treated for COVID-19, while 86 persons are in step-down facilities, recovering from the virus.
