A 31-year-old La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WBD) man is currently hospitalised after he was stabbed on Friday afternoon during an argument.
Police yesterday confirmed that Vishal Ramdihol was wounded around 5.30 pm at Westminster, La Parfaite Harmonie, WBD.
The 25-year-old suspect is currently in police custody.
According to the police, enquiries revealed that Ramdihol went to purchase a few items when he was approached by the suspect, who was armed with a knife.
The suspect, the police said, started an argument and Ramdihol told him to desist from his action. The suspect reportedly became annoyed and slapped Ramdihol before stabbing him twice.
Ramdihol was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he was admitted. He is scheduled to undergo surgery. His condition is listed as stable.
