Dear Editor,
The upcoming Holiday of Shavuot reminds us of the giving of the teaching within the Torah. A time of renewal of commitment to what our Creator has taught us and an appreciation of what has been given to us to harvest for our wellbeing and nourishment. This year’s Shavuot in Israel is in an environment of war following the peaceful Muslim observance of Ramadan. The Festival of Weeks will continue and it is hoped that peace will also accompany those in Israel during the observance of this Holiday.
