A seventeen-year-old boy was yesterday midday robbed at gunpoint of his motorcycle valued $180,000 in Campbellville by two males, one of whom was armed with a rusty handgun.
According to police, at about 11:50am the victim was riding his motorcycle registered as CK 6484 along Dennis Street, Campbellville accompanied by a friend who was on another motorcycle. Both of them were heading west when they noticed they were being trailed by the two men on a black Jailing motorcycle.
The victim and his friend stopped at a vulcanizing shop along Dennis Street to avoid the suspects but they stopped at the shop also. One of the robbers then approached the victim, took out a rusty gun from the left side pants waist and demanded that he hand over the motorcycle or be shot.
The suspect then took the motorcycle and made good his escape along with his accomplice north along Sheriff Street.
Investigations are ongoing.
