A man who was allegedly apprehended with quantities of cannabis by the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) ranks was charged on Friday.
Floyd Boyce appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in a city court, where he pleaded not guilty.
It was alleged that on May 11, at Brutus Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara, Boyce had 17.3 grammes of cannabis seeds, and 8.9 grammes of cannabis.
He was placed on $50,000 bail and the matters were adjourned until next month.
