A 33-year-man from Region One is suspected to have drowned while swimming in a pond aback his mother’s home in Port Kaituma.
Dead is Damian Murray of Oronoque, Port Kait-uma, North West District. According to a press release from the Guyana Police Force, Murray left to bathe in the pool sometime on Saturday but never returned.
His mother raised an alarm which led to a search by members of the community who found his body floating in the pond after 8 am on Sunday.
Murray was rushed to the Port Kaituma Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The GPF continues to investigate the circumstances under which he died.
