The Ministry of Health today said that as June 09, 2021, two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 419.
The latest fatalities are two males from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica), a 58-year-old and a 42-year-old. They both died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.
