Dear Editor,
The recent wet events that occurred across our nation is extremely devastating. Many have lost their homes and much more as we can see daily on social media and other mediums where pictures and videos are depicting the water levels in some areas in Guyana covering homes. I note and applaud the initiatives so far by the CDC and Government of Guyana. However, we must think ahead, proactive approaches are needed! While we set up temporary shelters as I saw the CDC is saying, while we may not know whether this is to occur next year or ten years from today, it is always better to be prepared. May we all continue to stay safe during this time.
