The second round of the Guyana Talent Search semifinals has been postponed until further notice owing to one of the semifinalists testing positive for Covid-19.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, there is no set date for a resumption of the competition, which will remain postponed until all participants and members of the production team have been tested and cleared.
“The Guyana Talent Search is conducted in an environment where all Covid-19 protocols are strictly adhered to and the safety of our participants and members of the production team is priority,” the release said.
The public will be notified of a date for the second round after members and contestants of the show have been cleared.
The ministry used the opportunity to encourage everyone to get vaccinated.
