A carpenter from Region Two is now in custody after he stabbed a 64-year-old relative in a drunken attack.
The victim is now a patient at the Suddie Public Hospital and his condition is considered stable. According to a statement by the Guyana Police Force, the stabbing occurred around 3 am yesterday at Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast.
Enquiries disclosed that the carpenter went to the victim’s home while intoxicated and started to misbehave. He eventually stabbed his relative twice in his chest and once in his left arm. The victim was taken to the Suddie Hospital by other relatives and the suspect was arrested and placed into custody.
