Another COVID-19 death was yesterday reported along with 128 new cases of the virus.
According to the Ministry of Health the death occurred on June 15th and was identified as a 54-year-old woman from Region One.
The total number of deaths as a result of COVID-19 in the country now stands at 438.
With the new cases reported, the country’s total number of confirmed cases has increased to 18,658 even. These came after some 1,421 more tests were done, pushing the total number of tests done to date to 172,667.
The majority of these new cases were recorded in Regions Four, Nine and Ten with 43, 35 and 24 cases respectively. There are now 1,622 active cases, 113 of whom are in institutional isolation while 1,509 are in home isolation.
Some 21 persons are currently patients at the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit while 176 more persons have recovered from the virus thus increasing the total number of recovered cases to 16,577.
