Match balanced after first day- Mayers

Kyle Mayers removed Dean Elgar to spark a late breakthrough.

West Indies all-rounder, Kyle Mayers, believes after the first day of the second Test against South Africa yesterday  that the match is still an even contest.

Playing in St. Lucia, West Indies won the toss and inserted the tourists who were kept to 218 for five after 82 overs.

“I think it’s pretty balanced, a good day out for both teams,” said Mayers.
